Play is the main way that infants learn how to move, communicate, socialize, and understand their surroundings. Participants of this training will explore the benefits of play for infants, as well as identify ways that infants learn through play. Suggestions for ways to appropriately engage infants during play are included.

As a result of this class, participants will be able to:

  • select benefits of play for infants
  • identify ways that infants learn through play
  • classify stages and milestones of infant play
  • choose appropriate ways to engage an infant during play
