Early Childhood STEM


STEM topics (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) have filtered down from the high school level through the middle school, into the elementary school, and now into the preschool classroom.  Early encouragement of investigation into the scientific method ensures future success in school. This class will show you how to integrate STEM topics across the early childhood curriculum and provide for project-based STEM learning.

As a result of this class, participants will be able to:

  • identify ways to encourage participation in STEM activities
  • categorize the methods of integrating STEM into the entire curriculum
  • recognize components of a comprehensive STEM classroom environment
