Bubble Wrap Activities for Kids: Pop, Paint, and Play

Bubble wrap isn’t just for packing—it’s also a fun tool for creativity and learning.  National Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day (the last Monday in January) is the perfect time to get creative with this versatile material! From sensory play to art projects, bubble wrap can keep young children engaged and entertained. He are some some easy and fun bubble wrap activities for kids that help build fine motor skills, encourage creativity, and add a little pop of excitement to your day.

  • Bubble Wrap Stomp Painting: Wrap bubble wrap around children’s feet, dip them in paint, and let them stomp on large sheets of paper.

  • Bubble Wrap Roller Painting: Wrap and tape bubble wrap around rolling pins.  Roll them in a tray of paint, then roll them on a taped down sheet of paper.  OR squirt lines of different colored paint in trays and roll them in the paint trays first.  You can also use paper towel tubes instead of rolling pins.

  • Bubble Wrap Stamping: Tape bubble wrap to one end of a toilet paper tube.  Have children dip the bubble wrap in paint and make stamps on paper.  You can also do this with different shaped blocks.
