Infants at Play

Introduction to The Early Childhood Academy:

We are pleased that you are taking the opportunity to learn from The Early Childhood Academy.  We understand you each have unique learning abilities but we have included a variety of ways for you to learn the content.  Enjoy the class.

Class Description:  Play is the main way that infants learn how to move, communicate, socialize, and understand their surroundings. Participants of this training will explore the benefits of play for infants, as well as identify ways that infants learn through play. Suggestions for ways to appropriately engage infants during play are included.

CDA Competency:  Goal II. To advance physical and intellectual competence

Objectives:
As a result of this class, participants will be able to:

  • select benefits of play for infants
  • identify ways that infants learn through play
  • classify stages and milestones of infant play
  • choose ways to engage an infant during play

You must complete all lessons and quizzes before you can take the evaluation, receive training credit and get your Certificate of Completion for 2 clock hours.
